Helena specialises in providing analytical support in complex investigations in Russia and other CIS states. Recent matters in which she has been closely involved include evidence gathering, cross-border asset tracing, suspected corruption of arbitral process and extradition requests.
Applying open source and discreet interviews and intelligence gathering in asset tracing, Helena has had a particular focus on unwinding complex ownership structures in opaque jurisdictions. Recently, she also assisted a client facing a politically motivated attack in Russia. As part of this matter, she supported efforts to identify and freeze assets in a southern European state. In other matters, Helena has supported litigation PR strategies, briefing journalists and coordinating with PR advisors in Russia, Europe and the Balkans.
Prior to joining Raedas in January 2018, Helena worked for several trade organisations, most recently the Saudi British Joint Business Council, where she developed an understanding of the commercial and political environment of the Gulf region.
Helena speaks Russian, Spanish and French and studied BA International Relations and Russian at Exeter University. She has studied and worked in St Petersburg.
