Mariana has extensive experience conducting corporate and financial investigations across various jurisdictions, with a particular focus on Latin America. Originally from Mexico, Mariana draws on her regional expertise as well as her background in corporate research and complex stakeholder mapping in a variety of sectors.
Since joining Raedas, Mariana has worked on multiple global asset tracing assignments, including enforcement actions against sovereign states as well as a multimillion-dollar recovery against a large Latin American conglomerate and its beneficial owner. She also worked on gathering evidence in the context of a large investigation related to a high-stakes political risk insurance claim filed by an international private equity firm.
Mariana joined the firm following five years working with civil society in Mexico City, specialising in investigating corruption, organised crime, supply chain accountability and human rights. In 2016 she was awarded a Chevening Scholarship by the UK government to study at the London School of Economics and Political Science.
In addition to London and Mexico, she has lived and worked in the United States.
