Building on his background in business intelligence at Kroll Associates and PwC, Sebastian specialises in CIS related matters, particularly those with a strong political component.
Recent casework includes exposing the black communications campaign of a Russian corporate’s adversary to bring about a settlement, identifying points of leverage for negotiations in an asset recovery investigation and identifying the beneficiaries of a fraud perpetrated against a HNWI. Sebastian travels frequently in the field and has developed sources in Russia, Cyprus, Ukraine, India and the UAE, among others.
In Sebastian’s previous roles he specialised in financial investigations, working with lawyers to structure and document investigations to an evidential standard. He was frequently engaged in Russian matters developing detailed knowledge of the region’s business and political landscape.
A Russian speaker, Sebastian studied at the University of Bristol and has lived and worked in Moscow and St Petersburg.
